Rochelle Cheever |
| The AWAR President, Rochelle Cheever, is responsible for all aspects of the welfare of
the Association and acts as its spokesman. She upholds
the AWAR Constitution and By-Laws and presides at all
meetings of the Association and the Executive Board,
acting as an impartial moderator, voting only to break a
tie. She calls special meetings as required and is the
official representative to other groups. She appoints ad
hoc committees and fills Board positions with the
approval of the Board. Rochelle is responsible for
the activities of the Association and, as such, may
choose to participate on all committees except Nominating
and Elections. She responds to all correspondence
regarding the Association and maintains a President's
file for the AWAR archives consisting of all Board
minutes, committee reports, finances, correspondence,
etc. She attends the FAWCO Conference/Interim. Rochelle writes a monthly column in The AWAR Forum
and other communications to the membership. Rochelle's one-year,
elected, volunteer term expires in June
2009.
