Nimble Thimble Quilt Guild

Susan Fiorentino & Jeanne Albertucci, Coordinators

Nimble Thimble Quilt Guild was started in 1998 as a result of Ivana Schiano attending the FAWCO Conference in Athens, Greece. Ivana was charmed by the FAWCO Foundation Friendship Quilt on display and the spirit of American women, throughout the world, making blocks to benefit philanthropic projects for women and children in developing countries.

Immediately, blocks and quilts were started in Rome and we continue today - our tenth season! The guild makes blocks for FAWCO and quilts for AWAR to benefit AWAR's philanthropic projects. Individual projects are also a part of the group's goals. The guild meets on Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the EUR area. We keep in touch with our own mail list nimblethimble@awar.org. Susan Fiorentino and Jeanne Albertucci are the guild coordinators.

Additional info is available through the AWAR office.
