Benvenuto Cellini, Artistic Genius and Bad Boy of the Renaissance is the title of the program at our March General Meeting and luncheon with guest speaker Dr. Patsy Erskine-Hill. Cellini is famous for his intricately-detailed bronze statues, probably the most important of which from an artistic and technical point of view is the Perseus which stands in the Loggia della Signoria in Florence. Pictured above is a detail from the statue showing the head of Perseus.
