Join us for an immersive, guided journey through FAO MuNe (Food and Agriculture Museum & Network) — a space where art, culture, science, and human stories intersect to inspire meaningful conversations around food, sustainability, and global cooperation. FAO MuNe is more than a museum—it is a dynamic hub where FAO’s history and mission come to life, inviting visitors not only to learn, but also to act.
During the visit, participants will:
- Explore diverse food and agriculture traditions from around the world, and learn how histories, customs, and local practices shape what we eat and how we produce food.
- Discover innovations rooted both in heritage and in science and technology, and see how tradition and progress come together in agrifood systems.
- Reflect on FAO’s vision for Better Production, Better Nutrition, a Better Environment, and a Better Life.
- Experience a narrative journey connecting the past, present, and future of global agrifood systems.
- Engage in dialogue during a Q&A session with FAO guides.

Copies of a newspaper from two 19th century travelers, the collection of an Italian diplomat, and the feats of six courageous women: these are the themes of an exhibition interpreted by three eclectic creatives, each with their own style and language.
For this 2025 exhibition, research has focused on the diplomat Cesare Poma (1862-1932) and his invaluable collection of artworks, books, coins and periodicals. Within the ‘Poma Periodici’ collection are the newspapers featured in the project. This publication was founded, written and published by the French journalists Lucien Leroy and Henri Papilland, who traveled around the world by bicycle at the end of the 19th century.
While studying the global journeys of both Poma and French journalists, an increasing number of female travelers emerged - women who, in the heart of the Victorian era, set off alone on their own tour du monde. Diverse in their backgrounds and approaches, each of them represented a new way of experiencing travel and redefining their era. They all defied social conventions and helped shape a new model of womanhood.
The visit will last about 1.5 hours and include the exhibition path, the Sistine Hall, the Writer’s Hall and other historical areas of the library that are usually inaccessible to the public. We will be guided in English by one of the exhibition curators.

Join Us for an Unforgettable Wine Tasting Evening Exploring the World of Italian PIWI Wines!
Bring your spouse, significant other, or a friend and enjoy an evening of incredible wines and great company. A light meal will follow the wine tasting, so come ready to savor both wine and food. We’ll be guided by Marco Lori, an Italian sommelier and wine master with years of expertise. In 2014, Marco achieved the prestigious Italian Sommelier Executive Wine Master certification, recognized by the Worldwide Sommelier Association. He is also the founder of Off the Vine, a gastro-tourism venture offering immersive wine experiences throughout Italy.
Why You’ll Want to Experience This Tasting
Once seen as experimental, PIWI wines are now at the forefront of sustainable winemaking in Italy. These fungus-resistant grape varieties thrive with minimal chemical intervention—reducing sprays by up to 70%—while preserving the authentic flavors of beloved Italian wines. Born from decades of precision breeding, PIWI wines represent the future of Italian viticulture: clean, climate-resilient, and remarkably expressive in the glass.
Love what you taste? You’ll have the chance to purchase the wines featured at the event, and our sommelier Marco will deliver your order directly to your home.
